Meet Michelle Halsey-Dix

Born and raised right here in Ashe County, Michelle left for a season but found her way back home in 2010—and she’s never looked back. With five children and three grandchildren, family is at the heart of everything she does.

Her background is both unique and inspiring—earning a degree in Criminal Justice from Lees-McRae College, later returning to school to pursue a teaching degree in Special Education. She went on to serve as the Guardian ad Litem Supervisor for Ashe and Alleghany counties for over 4 years, advocating for children and families in our community.

Now, with her kids grown, Michelle is following her long-time passion for real estate. Her love of working with people, combined with her strengths as an educator, makes her a perfect fit for guiding clients through one of life’s biggest decisions—buying or selling a home.

Outside of real estate, she’s also the proud owner of a new landscaping business, and when she’s not working, you’ll find her hiking, on the river, at church, or simply enjoying time with friends, family, and of course—the grands.
