There's a great little spot in the heart of the Appalachians, near the Blue Ridge Parkway to come enjoy some old time bluegrass music and fiddling. Ashe County's Bluegrass and Old Time Fiddlers Convention is held every year at Ashe County Park in Jefferson, NC. 
The dates for the 2014 event are Friday, August 1 from 5:00pm – 11:00pm and Saturday, August 2 11:00am – 11:00pm. The event is sponsored by the Ashe Arts Council.
